The cloud point is that temperature at which petroleum oil starts becoming hazy or begins to precipitate paraffin's or other solid substances.

The pour point is the lowest temperature at which a cooled petroleum product sample will continue to flow (last observed movement).

Pour Point Tests according to ASTM D 5853-6 require a pressure vessel (13-0701) and a water bath (13-0705) in addition.
